I cannot send email

  • Your SMTP setting is incorrect. Mail goes out by your Service provider and not through SmallPond

I cannot receive email.

  • Not Connected

  • Your POP3 setting is incorrect. Mail comes in through by your SmallPond Server  : mail.(yourdomain).com.

  • Username incorrect : if using a POP3 mailbox, use the full email address as your username : jbloggs@(your domain).com

  • Email Password incorrect/forgotten : Go into your control panel, Mail Manager and reset the password on your account :

  • If there are too many attempts with the wrong password, your IP will be banned :

Your site is visible to everyone else.
 
An IP address is banned when there are too many unsuccessful login attempts.
This is a Server Firewall security measure against dictionary attacks on logins. 

This occurs when someone from your computer tries to log in unsuccessfully too many times - email, control panel, webmail, FTP etc

Contact SmallPond on the link below with the following information :

1.Your Domain Name
2.Your IP address from the Computer that does not show your website.

Friends tell me they cannot send me emails

  • Mailbox quota full.

  • Hosting Account quota full.

Error message
Your mailbox jbloggs@yourdomain.com has reached its quota limit.

  • Quick Fix - increase your mailbox quota limit.
    Go to your control panel.

  • Caused by :
    1.) Someone sending you big files or
    2.) You are not removing messages from your server after they have been downloaded on to your computer.

  • To investigate - go to webmail and have a look at your inbox
